Beijing International Hotel, Beijing
Sleep but don't eat here
This is a good place to stay as it is very well placed as a base camp for urban exploration. It is a stop on the express bus from PEK to the Beijing Railway Station, on the @1 bus route that passes the Forbidden City. Near the anciuent Astronomy Museum and China Customs Museum. We did not like the food, but nearby are many restaurants. Tasty and inexpensive are the Imperial Noodle's and Sapporo Bakery, to name but a few.

Nice hotel
The hotel was nice but the room and bathroom were dated. The breakfast buffet was too expensive so we didn't buy it.

A superior hotel by any standards
I have stayed at this hotel several times and it is superior to any other hotel. In terms of cleanliness, service, and decor, it cannot be beat. The Gold level is the best value at any hotel and will satisfy the most exquisite taste. You will not be disappointed.
