Fabulous 8.6 From 59 reviews

Good 6.0
Beautiful location, poor customer service.
The downtown area was terrible if you are not actually staying in The Village. No parking, restaurants all had over 1 hour waits. Snow Creek is having some communication issue's with, so check-in instructions were not included in our confirmations. We were out in the snow after an 8 hour drive with 3 small children, staring at our keys behind a glass panel, until another guest arrived who had the code to open the glass panel. When I attempted to speak to Snow Creek's customer service clerk the next day, Mandy, she was TERRIBLE. Stated we weren't in her system since we booked with a 3rd party vendor, that our problem was not her problem, and she did not apologize for our experience or thank us for at least being a guest. At $500 a night, I expect her to at least fake some customer service. Director of Operations John Ross was kind enough to offer an apology when I spoke with him at check-out. Moving forward, we are unlikely to return to Snow Creek Resort. Overall we found Mammoth to be natural and beautiful, but a disappointing experience for our family. As Bay Area residents, we are better off doing a 2.5 hour drive to Dodge Ridge Ski Resort and bypassing a 9 hour drive home.

Poor 2.0
Lots of red flags
Office hours are limited. You have an arrival window of 3pm til 5pm to be checked in by a person. We arrived at 8pm and the key was kept in an unsecured box with our name, room number, key and payment info. This did not make us feel safe. Then when we first entered It looked like some one freshly had sex in one of the beds. There was a jizz load on the comforter. It looks like the rental unit was used for constant partying with the wear and tear and stains through out the unit. With the gross present we found, we couldn't trust any of the surfaces of any of the beds. Luckily we had our camping gear and we slept in a sleeping bag during our whole stay. To wrap up the terrible stay, we received a rude awakening on our final morning. The property managers scheduled construction on our unit for 6am. They were working on our back deck and rebuilt the front stoop. I couldn't believe they would schedule construction with guests in the unit. Very unprofessional and from this experience, we will never trust booking a non-hotel thru

Fair 4.0
This review is for room 443 only. The location is awesome and room itself is fine until the time to sleep and our kids started having nightmares started with our 7 years old son then our 5 years old daughter. Our daughter started acting like she's mad in the middle of the night and throwing tantrums until her mom calmed her down and she later told her mom that there was a man sleeping on her pillow and she doesn't like that which freaks us out because my wife also had a nightmare the same night about a dark skin man and women in the master bedroom asking her to leave and she was arguing with the man that we paid for the room and they have to leave instead. What are the chances of all three of my family members having nightmares right? I also woke up around 2 AM with a sound of kids giggling thinking my kids were awoke so I went to check on them and they both were asleep. From that moment I couldn't sleep anymore kept wishing the sun comes out sooner. We paid for 2 nights but left the next day without spending the second night. Did anyone had the same experience at room 443?

Exceptional 10.0
Thanksgiving stay
Condo warm and inviting upon arrival. For four people, it was perfect....everyone had own space to chill or nap without being disturbed, yet spacious for watching TV, preparing meals. and dining together. Kitchen had everything needed to prepare dishes and clean up. Sleeping arrangements and Beds comfortable, although sofa bed could use with additional bedding (air mattress?) to avoid feeling metal bed frame. Plenty hot water for showers. Hand vacuum was not sufficient to clean up (no suction). Dishwasher and laundry a plus. Would definitely return to resort/same condo.

Poor 2.0
Staff was not friendly or helpful
Upon check in we were treated poorly, had to hike to find our room, found out our phase didn't have a jacuzzi as promised, room lacked amenities such as shampoo...upon check out our vehicle batteries were drained due to the cold and when contacting the front office for assistance or information mindy at the front office stated they didn't offer any services or knowledge to get assistance. Thank goodness for a local condo owner. I was highly disappointed in the service and amenities for a $550/night room.
