Professional, got an amazing upgrade we didn't request and only discovered as such upon checkout (spacious private veranda!); printed our train tickets no hassle and held our luggage after checkout

Great location
We booked a luxury room, which had an amazing enclosed private garden. The one feature of the room we did not live was the oversized bathtub which had no shower feature except a hand held spray. Being unused to this we had difficulty with it. Breakfast was very well done. With the room we had one drink each at the nightly happy hour and free snacks. The location was terrific and the Vatican was walkable as well as the Campo de Fiori and the Piazza Navona. Most of the staff were quite friendly, but we did encounter two who really could have been better.

Great location, lovely breakfast, steps to bridge , lovely at sunset w local musicians strumming and singing. Smaller bed and bathroom, but overall very nice, the happy hour. Views from roof deck is also lovely, w small bites included. :

Overall I would say the Hotel Ponte Sisto is a great place to stay in Rome. It's right along the river in the Trastevere section of Rome. There are a lot of great shops and restaurants nearby. The breakfast was very good. The rooms aren't that big but that is normal for a lot of big cities. It is a good 20 minute walk from some of the main sites like the Trevi Fountain and Pantheon but doable. One thing I would suggest is that if you are flying into Fumicino and are thinking of taking the train from the airport to the main train station in Rome you are better off just getting a taxi at the airport and go directly to the hotel. The main train station is about a 20 minute and 20 euro taxi ride from the hotel. The taxi from the airport is about 45 - 50 Euros and takes about a half hour when not in rush hour. One negative about the room was the little flat screen TV's but you are not in Rome to watch TV.
