The room was clean, but the tub faucet was not stable. The thermostat was not working very well,the room was warm. The elevators were dirty and still dirty the next day. And the floors in the check In and eating areas were dirty. We never saw any cleaning workers . The ladies bathrooms were dirty and outside garbage over flowing in the cans. The best thing was the pool. It was refreshing, and nice sitting area. For the price I will not be back.

Parking is convenient and easy. The hotel is clean and has nice amenities. The staff for the most part have all be friendly and helpful. The pool area is spacious and nice. Wish Marriott would have splurged for multiple hot tubs…one for adults and one for kids. The only suggestion would be to have multiple people working the Starbucks counter in the mornings. Especially during the busy season. The staff for Starbucks could be friendlier. Otherwise it was a great stay!! We loved our stay and will be back.

The only drawback that I found was there was no place to put your folded clothes. There was no dresser in the room. i had to leave my folded clothes in the suitcase. There is a closet for hang ups. Other than that, it was a nice room with a great view. Also, we used the hotel bikes. it was nice to have this option but the bikes are in dire need of oiling. The hotel staff was very nice.

While the stay had some pros, we mostly had cons. Information presented on the welcome letter needs to be updated. It reads 8am to get umbrellas and chairs. He was not there. After going back to the front desk, a second time I was then told he comes at 9am. I had to ask if they could call and confirm if they were coming. Your information also states these items are complimentary. We actually are paying $15 for chairs and $15 for the umbrella. Pillows had no substance they were beyond soft. They really needed to be replaced. The facility charges a resort/destination fee daily, but our rooms are not cleaned daily, and towels area changed every third day. This did not happen. We had to go to the front desk for clean towels and discard the others ourselves. While on the beach we had persons set up for a wedding literally next to where were seated. The people next to us stated they would not be moving as they had paid to be there until 5pm. We understand they were prepping for wedding, but our relaxation was disturbed with hammering and discussions. The only pros were some friendly staff, the shuttle service, and a beautiful ocean view. I have stayed at other Bonvoy's and made my decision to stay at this location because of that. However, we were very disappointed. While I love and plan to return to Jekyll Island, I would be extremely hesitant to stay there.
