Reasonable place. Great location.
I was amazed that knowing you are under construction that you offer a room right next where the construction was taking place. I asked to be moved to tower 1 which was OK.

50th Birthday with Friends
Traveled to Cancun to Park Royal with 19 other friends to celebrate a 50th Birthday, hotel is small all inclusive staff is nice but difficult to communicate with if you can not speak Spanish. Clean, dated plain rooms, food is so/so, breakfast is best meal because of the omelet bar. Beach area is gorgeous, but ocean is rough in that area had red flag many days. There is a nice mall across the street from the resort for something to do and the bus picks up right there will take you to the market downtown. Small spa with great deals on massages. Activities daily in the pool, cooking class, even had a stretching class, small gym that is only free to members others pay 6.00 dollars a day. No English speaking channels on TV other than CNN.

I wasn't sure if i was at an all-inclusive hotel or a soliciting convention. Every time you stepped in to the main lobby, an employee was trying to sell you a package of some kind; very annoying!!

Comfortable and kid friendly.
Overall it was a good stay. Can't really complain when right on the beach. Room was clean, AC worked well, and beds were comfortable. We chose this hotel mainly because of the kids pool since we were traveling with our 2 and 6 year old. And they loved it, but they stopped the water jets at 6pm which is kind of early with an hour left of sun. And we were trying to avoid peak sun times to avoid total burn. A big issue was that the staff was very aggressive in getting you to attend their 90 minute presentation on the travel club. Do have a little kids area with care taker if you do the sales pitch and give $100 towards excursion along with other incentives. Food was good and dinner changed daily (Before booking we were skeptical due to previous reviews) with different themed nights, such as Asian, Mexican, etc. We really had no complaints with food. They give you cards for beach towels and you turn in the cards for towels. When you return the towels, they give you the cards back. If you lose the cards they charge you like $36 or something like that per card. I guess that's a way to keep towel costs down but a little hassle. Gym access is not included unless you're a "member" of their travel club which is what the sales pitch is for. Service at bars was pretty fast and friendly, but we didn't frequent them too much and not during peak times.
