underwhelmed
The hotel was not at all what I thought it would be based on the pictures. The lobby that looked vast in pictures was smaller and older. The elevator always had some type of garbage in it and everything had out of order signs on it. We thought we would have a nice continental breakfast with the usual waffle makers and cereal but instead it was a cheap bag of Sunny Delight (not even real juice) a nut bar and packaged mandarin oranges. As grab and go breakfast goes this was the worst I have had. The parking lot was constantly dirty and full of garbage. Finally there were signs about them counting all the sheets, towels etc... alluding to the fact that we were basically being watched to make sure we weren't going to take anything that didn't belong to us. I do not plan to stay here again.

Overall red lion was a lot better than any other surrounding hotels/motels. But there was graffiti on the elevator doors and French fries laying on the floor all night long. The bedroom had a very strong Pinesol smell. It kind of just lingered on me for a whole day after. But the bed was somewhat comfy and overall was pretty quiet. Minus that it’s right next to the sounder or a train, it was very loud and shaky in the middle of the night.

Nice pool - nice staff.
Nice place with a pool, but if you are a light sleeper, be aware there is an Amtrak train that comes through 2 or 3 times in the middle of the night. Tracks are right next to facility.

Decent hotel, clean room. Kinda noisy because of the trains that go by especially at night. I've paid a lot more for less. I recommend for a decent clean room for a very decent price!

Not horrible for a budget hotel
Staff were friendly and helpful but the hotel isn’t self is very tired. It’s a budget hotel so you can’t expect everything. Over all high markets for the staff but this facility need to be cleaned and upgraded. I will say that to advertise that breakfast comes with the hotel room and then after you’ve paid to be told “ oh sorry we aren’t doing that is misleading.

We arrived to check in only to find there was nowhere for us to park because the lot was full and the 15 minute registration parking for guests was being occupied by hotel staff. Upon check in we were told that their elevators were not working and that they were working on it and unfortunately we were on the 3rd floor and had to drag all our luggage up 3 flights of stairs. When we inquired how long the elevators had been out for we were told just that morning but when we checked Yelp there was a review from a few days prior saying that elevators were also out and that the hotel was not fixing the elevators until the guest ended up calling the fire department and paramedics to help her elderly mother who just had surgery. During our stay we had never seen once anyone working on the elevators. As for cleanliness one of our beds had multiple stains on both the sheets and the pillows. Absolutely would never stay here again and shame on hotels.com for recommending this hotel.

Broken Elevators EMT Called To Assist The Elderly
If I was the CEO of Red Lion I would be embarrassed that I have a franchise like this. This place should be condemned. Let's start off with the elevator not working. And the check in clerk saying he needs to fix the elevator. I am thinking "how are you certified to fix an elevator"? He met who was the maintenance worker at the elevator and he just used the key to twist and turn until it worked. I asked if we could get a room on the first floor since my mom had surgery the next day and I would hate for the elevator to not work. He said that he didn't but assured us as he took out bags with us in the elevator that we were all in this together now. We got to the room and had to call for help to fix the TV... I am trying to be really chill at this point. Don't fall out in your room and call the front desk; the phone just rings and rings. Finally someone picked up the phone and I asked for a razor... oh my... clutch your pearls they don't have one. Totally shocking right... to be expected when the soap at this place is like using a thick piece of cardboard. Here is where the plot thickens... My mother and I get up super early to head for her surgery... drumroll... Do you think the elevator is working... NOPE! I called the front desk and she hung up on me the Fire department was called to help. I said for 130.00 I should get a refund. She said you won't because we are a franchise. The nerve of this place. It's gross and should be shut down. DOOOO NOT stay here
