Never Again
Beds were well past their best before date, shower was very low pressure, housekeeping didn't come after the first night, apparently a new policy where you have to hang a notice on the door stating you want housekeeping! this should have been explained at check in. Won't stay here again. The place is a dive.

Pool was closed, beds were small
There were a couple of disappointments - namely that the beds were doubles, not queens like the heading on the ad says. Secondly, the pool was closed for reno's, but this was not communicated in the ad. I chose the Sandman because it had a pool, and paid $50 more per night than I would have for my second choice based on that alone. Granted, they did provide a coupon for the local rec center, but that requires driving a mile to get there, and there isn't the convenience and simplicity of having the pool right downstairs. One last thing...a northern motel/hotel needs to have a parking area wide enough for large vehicles to drive and park in without difficulty, because so many of the guests are workers with monster trucks.
