About Novotel Brussels City Centre, Brussels

Modern city center hotel, built around a medieval tower

In the Lower Town

Novotel Brussels City Centre enjoys a prime central location in Brussels Lower Town, a 10-minute walk from Central Station. You'll find a bus stop directly outside the hotel, and it's 2 minutes' walk to Sainte-Catherine Church, and 5 minutes to Sainte-Catherine Metro.

Seafood restaurants

The hotel is built directly around the Tour Noire, the best-preserved tower from Brussels' 14th-century fortifications. You'll find a wealth of dining options 2 minutes' walk away on both Place Ste-Catherine and Quai aux Briques - the latter is known for its seafood restaurants.

You can start the day with a hot breakfast, visit Bar & Brasserie for Belgian dishes throughout the day, as well as snacks until late in the bar. The fitness center is available for working off vacation meals, and a dip in the spa tub or a moment in the hammam is a great way to relax.

Minibars in bright rooms

There's an 80-centimeter TV in each of the 217 brightly decorated guestrooms, some of which have views of the neighboring medieval tower. Minibars and coffeemakers take care of drinks, plus there's 24-hour room service.

    No complaints here!

    Modern but lacking a bit
The hotel has a very modern and sleek design, which I like. However, some details are lacking a bit. For example, in my room there were some plugs on the desk (HDMI, USB, etc.). I thought the USB one would be useful for charging, but it didn't work. The room was also still a bit dirty from the previous guests when we checked in (dried out beer stains on the desk). Instead of going through the hassle of moving all our luggage we just cleaned it ourselves. The TV would not turn on by remote, only by pushing the physical button on the TV itself. The coffee/tea supplies were not replenished. Any one of these things would be fine and totally understandable, but all together it made the stay feel lacklustre, especially for a place that looks nice on the surface.
