Nice stay, but not so nice!
The building is beautiful, close to everything. Valet parking was easy and enjoyable for us as first time guests. Checking in went fast and all of our questions were answered..We thought our room was small, only one chair to relax in,a balcony we could not use, and the view out the window was very limited at best. The pool was big, but I needed to swish away dead bugs floating in the water so they would not get in my hair, Yuk!!!OH, had a hard time shutting off water in the shower, it may need servicing. No microwave in room,and eating there was very high priced, in my opinion.

Beware the 4th floor rooms
If Casa Monica puts you on the 4th floor, REFUSE. We got in late and did not notice until the next morning - but the window was fake and only came up to below the knees, so NO VIEW. Definitely NOT worth paying $1100 for 2 nights. Much better to go right down the street to the Old City House, where we put up friends.

For $200 a night this hotel is fine , however it cost me $700 a night . Room was extremely standard , no mini bar or snacks . Pillows were lumpy and bed was just ok . I could here my neighbors talking through the night . Was expecting more and frankly surprised how basic and unremarkable my stay was . Enjoyed location , staff and the Starbucks . Try the Hilton ..

The hotel staff is excellent. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. Housekeeping didn't show up to our room to freshen it up while we were out all day, so it was disappointing. Room has really no window, so it felt like a cave, did not like that at all.
