Oasis inside busy city
The Ibis is a nice albeit basic hotel chain. You know what you are getting with them. This one is clean and staff are friendly but what is additionally lovely is the pool and the rose gardens surrounding it. It's an oasis of calm in a rather hectic city. We loved being slightly apart from the medina and being able to head into the garden for quiet and calm after a day of sightseeing. The bar is nice to have as well. Plus we could walk across the street to the train station to leave. And the wifi was fast and reliable. Great spot.

Terrible hotel!!
Horrible stay!! Tiny tiny rooms, basic things not available such as shampoo, kleenex, only bath towels that felt like sand paper and each one in a different color... and to top it all, there was no electticity for over one hour. We had to wait in the dark. We had a disabled person with us and could not take the elevator, with no power!!! The front desk personnel started yelling and arguing with a client who lost her patience when tbere was no power in the hotel and wanted her money back. My family and I took 3 rooms and we all felt it was the worse experience ever!!!!

TIPS ON MOROCCO TRIP..TOURS. PLANNING TRIPS TO MOR too small..not comfortable..breakfast was good...good area to get transportation..can negotiate for a guide price..don't buy anything u don't want..Guide will take u to expensive places for careful..don't go to a restaurant recommended by guide, they take u to the most expensive ones for commission ( more expensive does not mean better).Look..ask questions..ask d YOU decide ..don't make the guide influence u. If u book any trip from inside the country ,it is always cheaper..There are many options to choose from. Some r crooks and some are good agencies.Ask many questions and get it in writing. IF U R GOING ON A LONG TRIP IN THE DESERT AREAS AND ESPECIALLY THE MOUNTAIN AREAS,MAKE SURE you have very good 4 by 4 vehicle. Do not go with an old's dangerous. See the vehicle u will be using on ur trip. It's very cheap and easy to take trains in Morocco. There's nothing to see in FES...Tourist trap and sales gimmic.Marrakesh is nice. You can book trip from marrakesh to any part in morocco. You can customize your trips..Camel rides..sand can mix and match as you please very cheaply. Be careful of expensive tourist sales before you go..much cheaper to book in Marrakesk.
