Just Ok.
The hotel is ok, but with old features. I think it's missing usb ports on the night stands.

Great staff, food and location. Fantastic value.
Overall, I had a pleasant stay at Emporio. Staff is friendly, the location is great, the condition of the building is okay, and the breakfast buffet is probably the best you will find in the area. Pros: The employees really make this hotel. All of the interactions I had with the staff were professional and genuinely friendly at the same time. The location is almost unbeatable. It's on Reforma, within walking distance to downtown (30 min. walk), and other areas of interest. Additionally, if you walk out the back of the hotel, you are in a pretty hip neighborhood, with several restaurants and coffee shops, but less trendy than Condesa, which is nice. The breakfast buffet is amazing and well worth the extra $10 for the room. It's not just the convenience, but the variety and amount of food is really remarkable. Tasty too. Fee, fast, functional wi-fi. Cons: The Emporio is an old property that has been renovated probably a couple of times. The rooms are nice, but there are little details here and there that remind you that it's an older building. Some of the tile grout in the bathroom could be cleaned, a couple of the power outlets were crooked, and one of the elevators is tiny (4 people max), and sometimes didn't work. There were 2 other elevators. Not a big deal for me, however. I stayed here for work, and will probably stay again. The staff make up for whatever shortcomings the building may have (which are really minimal). It's a great value. Get the breakfast buffet.
