Throw your money in the bin
not recommended to anybody, spending a lit bit higher and get a much better room , when I walked around there were a lot more suitable hotels there . And inside the room smell like it was a sheep there . Heater did not work . when I ask one of the receptions and asking to fix the internet connection , he said we are planning to exchange the system , it's like a taxi with puncturing tyre which trying to get a passenger .

Fair accommodations for the price
The hotel is old and a little run down. The lights flicker quite a bit and everything is creaky. The beds were not very comfortable and lacked anything resembling pillows. However, the room was clean and the bathroom was spotless. The location was easily accessible by public transit and very simple to locate. It meets reasonable expectations for the price.

SHEISHA STREET
Well... for me, who lived in the Middle East for 20 years.. it wasOK..but.. for anyone with any problems with Arabs and otherethnic groups.. NOT too good.. and, due no airconditioning, you had two choiced in your room.. keep the windoes closed, and suffocate, or open them and listen to the street sounds until 0200-0300 ..! If you LIKE Arabic music.. great.. I would think it would be very difficult to offer this hotel to single women or older folks.. once you figured out the tram and bus services, it was convenient.. but quite a dubiousarea..be CAREFUL in your description.. your treelined street picture is completely false.. but, for those who are somewhat adventerous.. OK...

Location is everything
We had a OK stay at Hotel du Helder. It was easy to get to from the train station and was very easy to walk to all the sights of Old Lyon and the Roman ruins. But the wifi would not work in the room, only in the lobby. But all in all, for the price and location, it was quite adequate for our needs for the 2 days we were in Lyon.
