Our 2nd trip - until next time!
We stayed last year with you at your hotel and couldn’t wait to return! We had an amazing view of the mountain in a large modern ski lodge. Your staff was very friendly and attentive! We enjoyed dining, skiing and shopping in Chamonix, France! Hope to visit again!

Great location, staff, safe and would stay again.
Lovely hotel. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Located just right, 5 minutes to main center and 5 min walk to glacier train. Quiet at night, not on main drag with loud noise or bright street lights. Would definitely stay here again. Only Con was had to pay for parking. Parking lot right next door to hotel is cheaper than underground hotel parking - strange.

Wrong room type and broken shower
We were visiting Geneva and decided we would make a side trip to Chamonix. First thing I want to say is that this review is not about Chamonix. Chamonix is an amazing beautiful place, well worth a trip. There were two things really wrong with our room. Issue 1: We originally booked a Superior Mountain view room at the Mercure including breakfast. But what we got, when we arrived, was a street view room that needed work. When I alerted the front desk staff that the room was not mountain view, he basically said that anywhere you are in the hotel is mountain view. However the really good mountain superior rooms seem to be all on one side of the hotel, facing the Mountains! Our room and balcony faced the street. But oh yes, You could see 10% of a mountain peering through some trees above the street. Issue 2: My daughter decided to take a shower and the entire shower (curtain and plumbing hardware) was broken and fell on her. First the shower curtain rod was held up by one drywall screw that failed and fell out bringing down the entire shower curtain. Then when My daughter pulled off the hand shower head to start a shower, the entire rod and shower hardware broke away from the shower wall and falling onto her. Hence, she could not take a shower! Since we were only staying for one night, I waited to alert the hotel front desk staff about this when we were checking out. They said "Oh we are so sorry" and did not even offer any discount or compensation for our inconvenience.

Great views!
I didn't like being on the ground floor. It was warm outside and I didn't want to leave the patio door or windows (without screens) open. One, bugs could come in. Two, people could too. It was hard to sleep with it being warm. Also, housekeeping didn't leave any coffee pods to replace the ones we had used. If I had had a higher floor I would have been much happier. However, the view could not be beat!! There was a waterfall across the way and Mont Blanc to the right, gorgeous! The only other negative was we had to sit in the lobby to use wifi.
