Beautiful exterior but interior is rough
The exterior of this property is beautiful but it is an old 1913 hotel and it needs some refreshing and maintenance on the interior. The halls are musty and mildewed and our room was small, musty and mildewed. The bathroom was very large, with a nice tub. It is walking distance to the center of towns (baths & cathedral) but it is up a hill and you may want to take an Uber back. We met some very nice people and had a lovely time in Bath but the hotel property, on the interior, is a little rough.

Hot and Expensive
The room was extremely hot. The room was very expensive. However, the food was good.

Visit to Bath
We spent two nights to allow time to visit the Roman Baths and to take the Tower Tour in Bath Abbey. Also we were able to have a bun at Sally Lunn's.

Great welcome and very friendly staff
Lovely hotel but a little tired and in need of some TLC, upgrading of the bathrooms especially. Staff were extremely welcoming, not a bad location if you are fit enough to make your way back up the hill to the hotel.
