Wont stay again!
The front desk guy was nice and helpful; however that was it. Asked for extra towels and pillows because our stay was for 4 and only serviced for 2, lady treated us like we were going to steal the items and asked to return any dirty towels when they delivered the extra. The curtains do not cover the whole window and it was a high traffic area. There is also a shell station immediately next to the property which attracted homeless and loitering unsafe for my children to go to pool. The site states coffee pot but no coffee pot when asked they said oh they were all removed from the room. The bathroom had peeling wallpaper and a dirt vent cover. Several of the outside air conditioner covers were just hanging off.

Not coming back :(
Had high hopes for the red lion and the price we were paying for our little getaway. Checked in and went in the room dirty towels, hardwood floor, freezing, broken heater, no cups or coffee machine. Called to switch rooms and couldn’t, brought up our extra blankets and pillows in a trash bag. I had to go to the bar downstairs to get cups for water. Very boring and bland , bed was hard as a rock barely any covers. I thought it should have been way cheaper for the experience we got. Pool and hot tub out of service with no notice. Overall will not be staying here again, to top it off they didn’t give me a deal or a late checkout. Staff was inattentive and didn’t really care.

Not very pleasant.
Room and hotel is outdated, phone line was not working so I had to call the front desk from my personal phone, cockroach in the bathroom, no laundry bags, and complimentary hygiene products were not replenished.

Great for a 2-day getaway
We came back for a second time and found the hotel had now joined the Red Lion group. This hotel definitelty needed someone to help with an upgrade to the whole property. It is very convenient off the highway which is masked by an emabnkment and hevily wooded area so the noise from the highway is quite low. We had some trouble with the first and second room they gave us but the third one was just fine. The hotel staff were magnificent in their handling of the situation. They did not even blink an eye in getting us a room and in the end gave us an upgrade and complimentary breakfast for all of the trouble. I didn't ask for this so was pleasantly surprised when it was offered. This hotel truly knows what customer service is and treated us like royalty. We will return to this hotel again when we come back to Monterrey. One thing we had difficulty with was connecting to the hotel chain's app while we were there which you might want to pass on to Red Lion. This was not the fault of the local hotel but of the corporate masters at Red Lion.

Rooms were not ready at 3pm, made us late to our friends wedding. Lighting in bathroom broken. Bed was okay. Hot tub was nice. Room was big, bathroom was small with no counter space at all.
