Beautiful property and exceptional service!
Extraordinary service. We had a room that didn't have a fridge, and they actually brought one to the room for us! Beautiful area as will, trees all throughout the property. Free shuttle service to and from downtown.

Horrible Housekeeping Service
Initially, the hotel seemed cozy and well-maintained. However, the cleaning staff provided completely horrible service. Our room was not vacuumed once during our 7-day stay. Moreover, the towels we were given had disgusting stains on them ranging from blood to weird green and beige stains. They refused to take out the trash in the bedroom, only emptying out the bin in the bathroom. They would also leave towels lying on the ground that were meant to be replaced. The front desk did nothing to remedy the cleanliness situation except bring clean towels once, despite numerous complaints. The WiFi was atrocious and barely worked. Stay somewhere else in Banff.

Poor2.0
Rated highly, but maintained poorly
Very disappointed with this place. We had very high expectations after seeing the property rating on hotels.com but as soon as we checked-in to the room and seeing the reality, we recalibrated our expectations but over the duration of the stay somehow this property just kept falling short. 1) The main issue is that this property is very old and needs to be updated desperately 2) Old is ok if it is taken care of, but there is a lot left to be desired there as well. Some examples that left me unsettled are ** There is dirty gunk and leftover food material in the ice bucket ** Room is dusty and dirty overall, including coffee machine, glassware, and any surface in general ** Restroom tissue paper holder was broken and roll was just left tucked into the groove, as soon as I dragged the paper it just dragged and rolled on the floor - imagine my surprise. They replaced it after I left a note ** The patio window didn't close so cold air blew in, they fixed it after I let them know. While I appreciate that they fixed it, I should not have to ask for things to work normally, this is a hotel, not a student apartment complex. Last but not the least, we requested that someone help us with the wooden fireplace (as they instructed us to do so), they said they will come by in 10 minutes but no one showed up after an hour. I could have called again but I just gave up because at that point it became too much work. Staff is friendly and courteous but clearly, something is missing.
