Titanic lobby
Big room for japan. Gorgeous bathroom. Very convient aND only a short walk from a lot of places. Lobby feels like a fancy scene from Titanic (before the boat sinks). Highly recommended!

Excellent choice for a hotel in Kyoto.
Very clean room, excellent service, so many major places to visit and great food are all within 1 mile.

This hotel seemed tired. While the service was very good, the facilities are worn. I checked into a non-smoking room that smelled like stale cigarettes. I was given a new room, which was slightly better, but still had a noticeable smoke smell.

Superb service but dated rooms
I've stayed at the Nikko property in Mexico City which is very nice so I had higher expectations when I booked this one. The rooms were quite dated and there was no reasonable rate option for a queen or king size bed so forced to accept the Twin bed arrangement and putting the beds together. Nice large, well equipped shower. I opted for the pre-paid breakfast which was a disappointment. Food quality and dining area left much to be desired. Aside from that, the Japanese staff were extremely polite and helpful at all times.

Very comfortable luxurios hotel
Excellent hotel. Pros: great tub and shower! Soft water. Fab breakfast. Big room with comfy beds. Location close to subway and tourist bus line 101 which is great cheap way to see tourist sites. Staff are lovely. Excellent concierge. Downside is decor is European and dated. Also beds are small, like large twins. We couldn't sleep together. I would prefer Japanese decor.
