TAKE A LOOK AT THE REVIEWS BEFORE BOOKING
The only thing that saves the hotel is location, also the cleaning staff. But the rest is just terrible, the front desk is super mean, also get ready because they can not accommodate you earlier even if they have an empty room. So if you have an early arrival like me, you have to reserve a room one day before. Also, there is no lobby, it's a big restaurant at the entrance ( always packed) a mess... Anyways there are so many options of hospitality in Rio that if you still booking this one, good lucky.

Amazing stay but small room
Ipanema in was closed for renovations but we were conveniently rebooked at the Arpoador Hotel. The service and location were amazing, staff was very friendly too. Beautiful rooftop pool and bar. Minor disadvantage was the room size, litteraly no room to open your luggage. Other than that everything was perfect including the restaurant.

One of the best decisions we made for our trip!
We stayed here 5 nights during Carnival, and the hotel turned out to be one of the best decisions we made for our trip. First, the hotel is in one of the nicest and safest neighborhoods. It is fairly quiet (which is nice when catching up on sleep) yet conveniently located just one block from the beach and only a few blocks from a metro stop. This made it easy to get to most things in Rio when not taking an Uber, which are fairly cheap as well. The hotel staff were also very friendly and helpful. They spoke English well and were able to answer any questions we had about Carnival and Rio in general. A nice plus was that they provided beach chairs, towels, and umbrellas free of charge. As for the rooms, we knew they would be a little on the small side for 2 people going into it, but they were still modern and comfortable. Wifi worked well. Hotel breakfast has a decent spread of options including made-to-order omelets. Overall would definitely stay again!
