Why make a special request if it gets ignored
I made my reservation through Hotels.com for myself and my parents, two rooms, one night. I had requested adjoining rooms and a crib. I called two days before check-in and was assured by the rude lady on the phone that our rooms would be next to each other and we would have a crib. She started the conversation by insisting on telling me over and over they didn't have any rooms available for my weekend, even though I had told her twice I already had a reservation...it was as if she was tired of answering the phone and talking to people, so she would use that line to shut me up and get me to hang up, she couldn't wait to get me off the phone. Fast forward two days and upon check-in, we learned that our rooms were not only not next to each other, but on opposite floors, on opposite sides of the building. The lady at the desk was apologetic and told me that no notes had been made regarding adjoining rooms. So Hotels.com either didn't transmit my request, or they just get ignored. The room was surprisingly clean and comfortable, my feet didn't stick to the floor and I didn't feel compelled to bathe everything in Lysol as I usually do on trips. Breakfast was your common free hotel fare, nothing special, reconstituted eggs etc...but the waffles were nice. Easy on/off from the highway and there's plenty of easy restaurants close by. We would stay here again.

The hotel was nice. I have stayed there twice.
I booked my hotel through hotel.com as well paying in full. When I left the hotel, I was charged for the room again. Before leaving the hotel, I checked to make sure all was well and they still charged me again. Always check your card because people are not honest.

Backache
The bed was horrible. Several times during the night, my acid reflux was set off or my back hurt from the angle and squishiness of the bed. My S.O. had the same complaints. The staff was friendly, but not apologetic about the comfort of the bed. I did not try the pool or the free breakfast.
