Nice hotel, few things let it down
Good hotel, facilities excellent, breakfast good, unfortunately evening meal was not the best. Charged for a salad bowl - which is self service- but lettuce looked like it had been there a few days & then there were only a few other dishes to choose from, so very poor & chilli was also not good. Found the retail park the next day which had all the eateries there, so had dinner there next night. Unfortunately the length of time it takes to get into & out of Edinburgh in the morning was horrific. Not the fault of the hotel but is the reason I wouldn't stay again. Also no air con in room, so very warm

Enjoyable stay
Our stay was very good. Service at breakfast was excellent although some of the food (black pudding) was a bit dry and bacon rashers difficult to separate. Waiting staff were very helpful. We had a meal in the bar restaurant the previous evening which was excellent however when we wanted to leave and pay there was no waiting staff anywhere and we had to pay at the bar.

Never again has put me right off Best Western
What a dismal tired room. Would not stay here again, and to top it off, workmen started banging, drilling etc at 08.30 and continued until we checked out at 11, management gave no response so must think it is ok to make excessive noise when there are paying guests.
