Strange place to stay if a Tourist
Very large hotel in this purpose built city which lacks any type of centre and the road system is chaotic. Some parts of the city are worth seeing from a car but nothing particularily exciting. Excellent and very helpful staff.

The food was not impressive for the price. Except for the buffet - that was phenomenal. The service was beyond anything I've ever experienced, it was amazing!

A serious shopping mall is less than 5 minute walk. You may have to dodge the cars on the roundabout (they drive on left), but I've been here twice and carried out my plan to return to the ukelele store and buy one. Handmade Italian ukelele, perfect tone cost <$125. A 6-pack costs 6.5 Ringgit, which is about $2. Putrajaya is a synthetic town, built for money and tourism. So it isn't really KL. But the people are basically chill islanders, and this place drips with luxury- luxurious service, amenities, the place is a palace. Chinese restaurant is really top notch, the breakfast can't be beat, but the Sushi place disappointed me on two trips. I ventured off the resort, into places being reclaimed from development, saw a 6-foot monitor lizard in dry, bugless place, and got past the chemicals to where many mosquitos found me. Dengue is a risk.
