Great experience, will return again!
I really enjoyed my stay the the Le Meridien Pyramids hotel. The rooms were pretty true to what you see online. The room service was excellent, breakfast buffet was delicious. The proximity of the location to the pyramids was awesome. There is a bar and several choices for dining and buying souvenirs as well as exchanging currency inside of the hotel itself.

Don't be fooled.
Room was good. Pool is out of order. The restaurant recycled the bread after I had went through the bowl touching every piece in search of a soft piece, which made me sick. I witnessed them reuse water cups after the guest paid, like literally held it to the light and flipped it back over. The servers are super slow and the cooks are even slower, takes about an hour to get my food and it was disgusting. Like KFC was way better, but you can't bring outside food or beverages in, which sucks cause their food sucks. The front desk is a joke, just like the management. Great location though, with Pyramids in plain site. I suggest taking an uber to the main entrance or you'll get harassed by local hustlers walking along the way. Oh and hotel workers stalk and pray on you...

A bit seedy, great view if they honor your booking
Upon check-in, a man cut in line and held a business transaction w/ the desk man. I told him I thought that was inappropriate and he told me the guy was a regular guide and had been waiting. Every time I went by the desk, there were business transactions taking place and large amounts of cash being handled. Hotel tour bookings are VERY expensive. Internet at the hotel was horrible and not working all the time. Hotel staff was patronizing to me after I had brought up men cutting in line for business transactions. Even though I booked and paid for a specific type of room, I had to argue and be steadfast in refusing a different "deal" for a different room. A ground floor terrace is NOT a room with a balcony and pyramid views! The room smelled badly and to make matters worse, hotel staff decided one morning that paint thinner needed to be used and it was so bad my lungs felt they were on fire. Housekeeping cleaned the room in 5-10 minutes and didn't vacuum. The rug and bathroom were soiled when I arrived. Restaurants were friendly, but need wait training. They need to tell you what they're out of and learn to make both drink and food items that are LISTED on their menus. The hotel uses acar services hat tries to sell you extra trips and stops by souvenir places throughout your ride. Tour guide booked by the hotel was not certified Egyptologist and was nice, but average and constantly concerned about his ratings.

View of Pyramids was to die for.
Alaa at the front desk was very accommodating. He remembered my name and where I was from after 2 days! Loved the view from my hotel room, I could not have asked for anything better. I felt comfortable and relaxed. The rooms could use a little upgrading but that's not even close to being a deal breaker. Great hotel and great staff.
