No air condition in the room which was a big minus. A great plus was the very friendly and helpful staff.

10/10 Exceptional

The front of the hotel looks like a 60s/70s concrete block but it's much nicer inside. It's an easy walk from the local train and bus stations. A bit over a kilometre if you want to visit the mine. Free tea, coffee and fruit in reception was a good touch given that many Swedish hotels don't have drinks or fridges in the rooms. The room was clean and comfortable. Only negative was that the shower door didn't stop water from spreading across the bathroom floor. The breakfast buffet had a very wide selection and I would have enjoyed more of it if I wasn't in Falun for a 5k run. The food in the resaurant was of a good standard included dishes using local ingredients such as reindeer and moss.

The hotel was ok but not renovated recently, the cleaning happened once during our stay even if we asked to change the bedlinen, so overall is ok but I would not rate it as 4 star

The room did not get cleaned, even though We stayed for three nights, and asked for it. We experienced dry day-old bread on the breakfastbuffet. It was difficult to get a parking space. The hotel itself was newly restored, and nice. The staff were helpful.

Two comments. It wasn't possible to change room temperature in the room (#376). Big problem during the summer. Secondly. The elevator needed your card even when going down. Not acceptable from a security point. Can't image that this is ok with fire brigade people? Best regards Göran Kindström 0707404053
