Waste of money
I don't understand how anyone can give this a 5 star. The hotel was in need of an overhaul. It looked like it was last renovated in the 80s. There was something black growing over the window. 5 times were loose in the bathroom. Crack chipped walls. We heard they are doing a complete renovation. The grounds are beautiful snd the staff is great. But don't waste 500 a night on this place until it gets redone.

Amazing Adare Manor with Kids
The staff was very welcoming and gracious. The activities, golf, hawk walk and swimmming were fantastic. The grounds and hotel are stunning and Adare is a lovely village. And, all was surprisingly very kid-friendly.

Very tired overpriced hotel. We stay in first class hotels around world. The room was unbelievably small. Perhaps because we used Frank Haydu

Fantastic - but need an upgrade soon
It was a family gathering, and we enjoyed it immensely. Weather does not matter here. Rooms are very very spacious. Staff are as friendly as you would expect (notwithstanding an overzealous bar tender who advised us of the dress code, when we were just looking around after check-in): no kettle or fridge, by the way. Faciliates are great - though pool and steam room are small, and limited by the standards of this type of hotel. For non-golfers (us) the destruction of many of the walks with the golf course is not welcome - but it appears the moneyed classes - the 1% - mostly play golf, or at least the men do. Restaurant was excellent, inclduing the service.
