Good location, value; modern, business people
Stayed for four nights to visit the Christmas Markets in Mainz and nearby cities. The hotel is a modern, large hotel with the typical Ibis motif. The hotel is close to the secondary train station (Romanische Theater) and is actually on the edge of the Alt Stadt (old part of town). The room was slightly bigger than the typical Ibis room, the staff was friendly and attentive. They spoke English if you needed that. They had a hot breakfast buffet with all the typical German fair. They also had a good coffee machine that got a workout. The hotel was fairly busy every day but not congested. A good hotel for people in the know about how to get around, convenient to FRA airport on the S8 train, easy to get around the city. Much better area than that around the main train station (Hbf).

Efficient & Clean
One morning I could not access my room. After 3 trips to the front desk to get another key, I had to wait in the lobby. Someone came up to my room with me & also could not get the door unlocked. Someone else came & mechanically took it apart. Then I had to change rooms. Everything had been unpacked & hung, electronics were charging. I missed morning activity. That was not fun.

Nah. Not for us.
Stayed for one night. Good location next to train station. However feel that the room and hotel itself I feel are overrated and not great value for money. Room is extremely basic and quite garish. Bright orange colours everywhere. Nothing nice or inviting about it at all. Nothing like the pictures that are shown throughout the hotel. (Must be from a different hotel?) Bed and pillow were very comfortable. And there were two inner doors which meant there was no noise from the hallway. Made the mistake of ordering drinks and trying to order food. I got charged for a triple vodka when we asked fo a single. Then when we tried to order another drink from the ‘24 hour’ bar the female working there turned us away as she was sorting out the tills. It was my other half’s bday, and it added insult to injury. They also had no vegetarian food. Wouldnt stay again based on the rude bar staff and crap room. Stayed in various different Ibis’s and this is right down the bottom for us.

Breakfast great despite we were late
Great stay for a reasonable price. we came late for breakfast and still could enjoy a wide variety of meals. The incorrect info about price for parking on hotels com was acknowledged and I paid the lower price but could be acknowledged easier rather than me trying to persuade the hotel that they are responsible for the info on hotels com. Otherwise great and still giving four stars. would be five if it were not for the need to explain that I should pay the advertised price for parking which was already quite high at 9 euros per night
