Tiem for a refurb
Faulty thermostat meant you couldnt use the shower. No wifi signal in the room. Common parts in need of deep clean (eg lobby toilets). WOuld expect this place to be refurbished in the not too distant future.

High expectations, below average reality
Over priced and not convenient. Descriptions says 'Self Parking', although that actually means is they have 4 paces around the back of the hotel by the bins which all have bolards up in. you have to abandon your car outside, go into the hotel to check if they will give you a space, get back in your car and park in the public car park down the road and walk back with your bags. Receptionist could see i was struggling with bags and never offered bag drop. Room was pokey, and very dark. Even in the comfort of the room i felt like i was under the eye of a h sales person, going to sleep looking at the price lists of extortionately priced bits that had been piled up (wine crisps chocolate etc) that i didnt want. Over all not the experience i hoped for. Oh and reception dont answer the phone when you have a query from your room either!!

stayed to go to a gig in Leeds, at 5pm our room still wasn't ready for check-in, on a sunday! After plenty of huffing and puffing from the receptionist we were offered free drink while we wait and was informed it could be an hour's wait but it wasnt that long in the end. Nice hotel shame about the grumpy staff

Good hotel, but skip the breakfast.
Room was very good, quite spacious and although the bathroom is a little old it all worked perfectly and was clean. But the breakfast service leaves a lot to be desired. The first time I stayed, I got served but was surrounded by heaps of dirty plates from previous customers. The second time, they forgot my order altogether although I did manage to get some tea and toast from the servers eventually. I guess they need more people on duty in the mornings: being told 'we have a lot of people having breakfast' as though this was an unusual occurrence in a hotel really didn't help very much! Anyway, I did get an apology the next day and they were also kind enough to write off my drinks bill from the night before! I would view this more of a DB and no B situation were you interested in staying here.
