Sport trip
The hotel has a great mall across the street. It has a good number of vendors right outside the hotel if you are interested in enjoying yummy street food. It's about 25 minutes from the airport with no or light traffic. Its hard to get aroumd if you didn't rent a car because the hotel is located on a major route. I highly recommend using Uber. The rates are very reasonable. The local cans have a tendency to make up their own rates and in most cases try to take advantage of someone who is here visiting vs someone is from the area.

Attempt of kidnap at my hotel in Mexico City
I had a very bizarre situation happen to me. This past new year's eve (2015) the hotel was pretty vacant as only business people stay at this hotel. Tourist oriented hotels are located in the nicer sections of Mexico City (i.e., the Polanco neighborhood). At 1:30 a.m. on New Year's eve 2015 (I was returning to the US later that day), someone approached my room and knocked on my door multiple times, until I decided to ask who it was. With a broken English they said "Room Service". It was not room service (it was later confirmed that none of the guests had requested any food or drinks at that time of the night). Calling the receptionist was useless as I believe they were scared themselves. Long story short I was allegedly the target of a kidnap. The hotel did nothing to investigate or protect me. I asked them to call the police and they did not call them. They could have immediately checked the surveillance camera videos and they did not do so. The hotel manager sent me an email 2 days later and he said that if they would have suspected of an intruder in the hotel they would have called the cops. They were pretty much avoiding the mess with the law, I guess.
