Lovely warm rooms
On arrival we were warmly welcomed into the hotel, and directed to our room, which on first glance looked very clean and was thankfully very warm as it was cold outside. However on closer inspection when i happened to move the tissue box in the bathroom there was an opened and used sachet of oral viagra.......therefore the bathroom had not been cleaned properly if at all. I was very dissapointed and did let the reception know, who offered a room change. We did decline this as we had unpacked and were on our way out for a booked meal. But felt the simply sorry was not really enough for the over sight..... aside from this our stay was warm, comfortable, and the room was large and light.

Very Tired hotel and terrible stay
Stayed in June 22 for a friends wedding. We booked one of the most expensive rooms on the top floor as part of the bridal party. Checked in Friday and the Room appeared OK on first enterting, though smelled damp - being next to sea consideried this to be the cause. Considering the price of £180 per night for the room it was somewhat below standard i would expect ( i travel every week for work). The problems began about 1.30 AM on the Sunday after the wedding. I was awoken by rain "in" the room, it was raining from the ceiling in the room along one of the pelmets. We moved everything away from the water (some things got wet but luckiliy nothing was damaged) I went to reception to ask the night porter to give us another room close by to sleep in for the night, after 15 minutes of discussion between the 3 guys behind the counter. we were asked to move rooms to another behind reception. I explained that there was no way we would be moving as we had all the presents and various other wedding accompanyments. We finally got into bed again around 3.30 only to be kept awake by the pipes in the wall, drunk people coming back to the hotel. On checking out we complained and were offered a partial £60, we asked for the manager and were told we would have to e mail them. When the manager replied they offered a discounted stay. We rejected this and again asked for refund and heard nothing since

Not worth the money.
For the price we paid we were disappointed. Additional cost to use the spa and the jacuzzi and sauna were out of action. Shower didn’t work for the first 24 hours, achieved more than a trickle after complaining but still not pleasant. Overall I wasn’t impressed.

Avoid room 83
This was our third stay in this hotel. Previous stays were great and we thought this one would be the same. Sadly this was not to be. We were put in a room that was little bigger than a cupboard. In fact I think it had been a cupboard in a previous life as the door was smaller than the regular rooms and was missing safety features such as a door chain or spyhole. It also had a gap around the entire door. It was in a corridor leading to the leisure club and was so noisy with all of the comings and goings. Also door slamming from a storage room opposite started very early in the morning. Bed was uncomfortable. Avoid room 83 at all costs
