Hotel was in a good location and the staff were nice but the room and one of the pools was a bit sorry

Mixed feelings
Mixed feelings, nicely maintained property, friendly staff and good price. However our room, although spacious was past its sell by date, with the furniture rather worn (hard to get out of the couch) and poor lighting ( low wattage CFLs and a single lamp in the lounge don't cut it)

Older style hotel in great location for great pric
Our stay was great. Location is awesome a short walk to the main esplanade but away from the hustle and bustle. The rooms were aged but very large so lots of room. Our fridge freezer was frozen with old ice though and needed defrosting so couldnt use it. There were a few cobwebs around though. And the buffet breakfast was just average. Its lucky they give you a 2 for 1 voucher for first morning as its not worth $25 each. Overall tho staff were lovely and for the budget price i would stay here again. We did head to the bar toward the end of happy hour and waited 10 mins to be served and no one appeared so we left and went downtown. This would be our only real complaint.
