Convenient location, helpful staff
Hotel Rialto is super convenient if your are taking water bus from either airport or train station. Both stop 350 meters from the hotel. The location is excellent, walking distance to San Marco (6 mins), academia bridge (10 mins). Hotel is old and looks dated. I stsyed in a single room, which was very clean, though not direct access to elevator. Bell Boy carried my bag to my room. Concierge was super helpful and always available. Decent breakfast indoors or outdoors overlooking Rialto Bridge. I had a very good stay.

Great location was a plus and a minus. Great for being near Rialto Bridge but very noisy late into night because of location.

Hotel Rialto, Venice
Great Location, Not So Great Room
The best part of staying at the Hotel Rialto was the location, being right next to the Rialto Bridge and the water taxis. The hotel itself is rather drab and breakfast was not very good (especially compared to the other hotels we stayed at in Italy). The room decor was nice and clean, the bathroom was yuk (old, dingey, sparse, bad lighting, cracks in tiles, bathroom door that didn't close all the way). The room was pitch dark (had to have lights on at all times) and facing a wall outside the window in a small alley). I would only stay there again if I had a room overlooking the canal. The staff was very polite.

Loved Venice. Hated the crowds.
Hotel old and rustic but very beautiful. Just on the small side as most European hotel are. Rooms without a real window facing anything but another building. That’s Europe. Breakfast was ample and food was hearty. Eggs meats cheeses fruits cereal. Recommend this hotel for location and service. If you need lots of space probably not a good idea unless they have bigger rooms available.
