No complementary water
This is the first hotel I've stayed in that had no complementary water. In fact, a 0.5 liter bottle of water costs a whooping €3, more expensive than a .75 liter bottle of water you can order at a restaurant. The amenities of this hotel seriously do not reflect the hefty price, with a laughable number of cheap body&hair wash bottles, the room incapable of supporting coffee machines or superior hair dryers, etc. But my biggest issue is the location. While in a super convenient spot right next to the water bus station, it is a very noisy location. We lived on the 1st floor facing the ticketing area and had no view at all on the first floor, all we had was the sound of people chatting and laughing loudly up until 2am (even when we shut the metal window panels), and worse the smell of smoke from outside or somewhere seeps into our supposedly smoke-free room, making it even harder to sleep. Only a few barely positive things I can say about this hotel other than convenience: Wi-fi is slow but at least they don't limit your data usage, service was friendly, and breakfast was decent. However, I will not be recommending this hotel to my family or friends.

It's Venice - the rooms are slightly old and small. The reason we picked this hotel was the Rialto Bridge. All around Venice are signs pointing you back to where your hotel is so you can always find it. This is good for your first time there. Breakfast was good and it was nice on the roof top terrace to watch all the activity.

Excellent concierge service and incredible view
This was the last stop our our 12 day European vacation, but it was perfect. The hotel was comfortable and extremely conveniently located to restaurants, shopping, and sight-seeing. The housekeeping staff was conscientious and I think checked in multiple times a day to see if cleaning was needed. So even though our itinerary changed day to day, we felt good knowing that the room would be cleaned no matter when we were out. We also had to figure out the water bus and city bus needed to make a very early flight from the mainland and the concierge looked up all the schedules and left us some printouts with all the information we needed. It was more accurate the google maps and clearer to understand. We had a room overlooking the Rialto Bridge and grand canal that was incredible. Even though there was some noise from the pedestrians and some boats at night, we were there in the off season had no problem getting sleep. Overall, we have no complaints from this hotel and were extremely satisfied with the service.
