We got in early in the morning, check in was not until 2. I wasn't feeling well and asked if there was anyway I could check in early. Reception person said she would let me know. Literally, she did not let us check in until 2:01. Since we were there at 6:30 am, we saw buses leave with guests to the airports every hour starting at around 7:00 am. Clearly a room could have been made available for us to check in before 2:01. Good hotels will let guests check in early when rooms are available, particularly if the guest was ill ( which was obvious just looking at me.) Otherwise, the rooms were clean ( nothing special) and comfortable. The breakfast looked good, my husband said it was great, but I was too ill to eat it. The hotel is a ways from downtown, not walkable but not too far if u have a car. Definitely quiet at night! The outside of the hotel is a little run down looking!

There are way better places to stay in Reykjavik
This hotel is certainly not worth the price. Its not super close to downtown and the neighborhood was not pretty at all. I realize that the hotel was under construction, however, the rooms were shabby and not well maintained i.e. scratches on the furniture, etc. I was not able to sleep well since there is very little buffer to the noises in the hallway and there was constant door slamming and banging. Its also loaded with tourists, so don't go here if you want a more authentic experience. I would advise picking one of the slightly more expensive hotels located in the downtown area so you can comfortably walk to restaurants/shops, etc.

Honeymoon in Reykjavik
Honeymoon trip to Reykjavik. Decided to go with a westernized hotel chain. They had cozy rooms, with hardwood floors. The bed was actually two twins pushed together, even though we were booked for a king bed. (more important for honeymooners) Hot water reeked of sulfur.

Not worth the money at all, stay somewhere else
Awful quality, lowest quality hotel from Radison I have ever seen. I had to be moved into the business area as the "normal" area was filled with stained carpets, holes in the walls, and generally out of date.
