First stay
I do weekend trips to Chicago probably 4 times a year and while I have some favorite hotels (Sofitel and Westin Mich Ave are often my go-to’s) I do enjoy checking out others...especially those that are more boutique-y. We were greeted by a gentleman as we were getting out of our Lyft and he took our bags into reception. There’s a lively and lovely outdoor patio that was very busy with big doors that opened into some indoor seating and the bar area. There’s also a little seating area which you walk by to get to the small reception area. I requested two queen beds and was told the only room that was available was on the 2nd floor. Because we had dinner plans, we just wanted to check in and get ready to head out for the night, so I said that was fine. The room was quite large with the normal furnishings - big dresser, table and chair, two queens and a table between. The beds were comfortable with nice (and clean) crisp white duvets and nice sheets. The bath size was fine - while it had two sinks, it was still easier for one of us to get ready in the hall so we weren’t jammed in the bath. The view....there was none....it overlooked the roof and mechanicals so we left the curtains closed. Makes sense that she asked if we were okay with the 2nd floor. We were there for 2 nights and the room was to sleep and get ready, so it wasn’t a huge deal. Only glitch was that our room keys never worked. Ever. Throughout our stay, which was annoying. But I’d stay again

Excellent Chicago hotel
Staff friendly and helpful (concierge). Excellent location for walking places and surrounded by good restaurants. The only challenge I had was the alarm clock! , including breakfast at the hotel.

Great room in a good location
The hotel is conveniently located near the L station and within the walking distance from the Hancock Center (which has the 96th-floor bar with a great view). I booked the cheapest room but even that room was quite spacious and very comfortable. The hotel provided complimentary coffee and milk in the morning on the ground floor in the morning as well. A small inconvenience was that I had to go to the fitness center in the basement to get some free water, since no complimentary water was provided at the room. Also, the front desk charged me additional 'urban amenity fee' of $15 per night when I checked out, but I was refunded after I contacted Hotels.com when I returned from the trip.

I would stay again.
People that worked there were awesome. Gene the concierge was great. The older, tall skinny guy out front was great too.(forgot his name). Great location. Room was good and bed really comfortable. Felt very safe there.
