Hotel was ok for the price we paid. It was clean, room reasonable size. Breakfast was fairly standard for small hotel, Staff seemed friendly enough. All in all reasonable. It was close enough to explore and to transport links. Just one big let down. The bathroom smelt of sewage and it was really bad to the point and If I had been staying longer than 3 days or if I had thought I would have spent more time in the room I would have asked if I could move! I have noticed someone else in May this year on another review says the same thing. They clearly knew there was an issue as cleaners were obviously trying to make it smell better in the mornings ! i have stayed in lots of old city hotels in Europe and appreciate their drainage can be an issue but this was the worst. It didn’t spoil my break but I wouldn’t be able to recommend this one as a place to stay for this reason.
