Thought I'd give this place a shot since the reviews I read didn't seem so bad and it was pretty cheap. When I book with hotels.com they always just charge the card I put down so check-in is easy and fast, but this place doesn't actually do that I guess. They wanted payment when we checked in. They apparently have no way to get online and check their reservations as well, so even though I requested a king bed, we got 2 queens. We also checked in after midnight and ringing the bell and knocking did nothing to get the attendant's attention, we had to call and tell them we were in the lobby...
The walls were REALLY damaged. Long deep scrapes in the walls down to the drywall. The carpet was clean in most areas but you could easily tell that they didn't vacuum behind or under any furniture, there was drywall dust and small bits of trash just hanging out in the hard to reach places and crevasses.
Everything in the place looked at least 20 years old except maybe the carpet. The linens were VERY worn, threadbare in spots on all the bedding and some of the towels. There were grimy spots around the light switches and outlets, the room needed to be thoroughly cleaned.
The free breakfast may as well not exist, it's just coffee and whatever else they can fit onto a tiny counter in the lobby.
Next time I will pay the extra money to get a room somewhere else, but if you're on a budget this place might be okay, maybe the other rooms are better? I'd hope ours was the worst.
