Charming!
Centrally located in downtown Urbana surrounded by shopping and restaurants. Plenty of free on-street parking. Spacious rooms decorated with antiques. Free wi-fi and cable TV (limited channels). A wonderful place for my wife and I to spend the night while in town for a wedding. I'd stay there again!

The Scioto Inn was SPOTLESSLY CLEAN. The room was very comfortable with a sofa, love seat and desk in one room a lovely 4 poster bed in another. The bathroom was very clean however other than a soap? /shampoo? dispenser in the shower, there were no other amenities. There was a coffee pantry in the hallway where you could make your own coffee along with sugar and cream for your use. Parking was right in front of the building which was very convenient . I did not meet any employees, I called to check on the room and was given very clear instructions from Rich. Cleanliness is my Top Priority in a Hotel/Inn and I was MORE THAN PLEASED. I would definitely stay again.

Well this is during covid.. so no contact with any person.. so i don't expect much attention but i did walk around the place curious, then seen a note about self tours being frowned upon.. oops but nice little place.. very clean, and cozy.. during my self tour i seen some cool little things to check out including the "secret" media room which was closed and i'm not sure able to be open even if.. idk.. but i would go back if i was going back to stay in town.. my only disappointment was that they listed fireplace as an amenity.. which i was excited for and that is/was not and looks like it has not been a working fireplace for a very long time. so the fireplace is just a decoration and they should state that fact. unless some of the other rooms are working.. but mine was not.. other than that.. the satay was great for what i was there for.

The room was great and very spacious. Tge history behind the building was cool to learn about. The free wifi worked great and the rooms are nice and clean. The owner was a really nice guy.

My stay at Scioto Inn was great! The check-in and our process was easy. The accommodations are far better than that of any hotel in the area. The rooms are spacious and there are plenty of amenities for guest to take advantage of. The owner of the property is present and very friendly. I would highly recommend if couples or small groups are in the Urbana area.
