Disappointing Stay compared to other IBIS
This is the first ibis stay I have issues with.
My experience in Singapore, Bangkok and India was fantastic so I had little hesitation about booking my stay with you guys this round. It turned out to be a disappointment.
Never mind about the lack of amenities like kettle, better towels etc, this is after all a budget hotel. But smiles, greetings and friendliness are free, I am sure your front desk can do better.
We were surprised by how we were left alone to store our luggage, there were no other guests at our check in time but the staff wasn’t too helpful to guide us.
This ibis has a room category that does not provide a kettle nor bottled water. Two bottles of water cost only less than 1 euro, i rather it’s factored into the room charge. Guests would not notice the 1 euro fee but will be annoyed by the missing bottled water.
Housekeeping failed big time. I saw that in other reviews as well. There was hair under the basin and on my bed!
My colleague hanged a privacy sign but the housekeeper still entered his room. I put up the ‘into my world’ sign but on one occasion, the room was not made when I returned to the hotel at 3:30pm.
Other smaller issues include wifi not working on some nights, key card not working, cracking bed.
This stay has tarnished the good image of ibis in my book.
Please look into improving the above, otherwise it would be a disservice to your counterparts, they have done a terrific job in all aspects.
