Standard hotel with a great location
We stayed in Venice for one night during our road trip. We booked on the same day and Hotel Marconi was the only reasonably priced hotel in Venice that still had room. The location is the best thing about the hotel as it is right at the Grand Canal and the Rialto Bridge. The room was very basic and small, and seemed quite old. The bathroom, luckily, was somewhat more modern. The breakfast was quite standard, no more and no less than what we expected. I would recommend this hotel if location is important to you and you are not looking to spend any time at the hotel besides sleeping.

Exceptional 10.0
Beautiful location
Hotel was great. Only disadvantage was there is no access to elevators. Breakfast was really good and location so right near the Rialto Bridge and near restaurant that are open until 2am.

Look elsewhere
Got it at a decent price, otherwise it would be 1star. I don't mind a small room because I've stayed in much smaller places. I don't mind an old fashioned antique-y room because it's only decor. Look at first photo. Seems like they shoved a queen bed into a room made for a single. There's no way to walk from the door to the restroom without turning sideway and sliding through the front of the bed. I cringed having to rub against the curtains everytime. Do not let handicap/elder stay here. Look at second photo. Old fashioned/decor does not mean hazardous but in this case it does. The ventilation duct has mold all over. We didn't use heat/cooling to avoid mold blowing throughout the room. The air was quite stale though with this turned off. Talked to the front desk and the old man just didn't care. It's likely that mold can travel throughout the entire hotel since it looks like a central system. If you can, spend a bit more elsewhere.
