We loved our stay at Ashling!
Beautiful hotel! Service was wonderful, room clean and updated and spacious. Right on light rail line, around the corner from the train and bus depot. Wish we could have stayed longer! Highly recommend all the way around!

Visit to Ireland for a wedding
We had two rooms booked at this location. The King room was lovely and located on the front of the hotel. Nicely appointed, quiet and very comfortable bed/linens. Our second room was towards the back of the hotel and was a little dated and cramped as we had booked a “family” room. Too many beds! Location was great as we came in on the train from Cork and you can easily walk over the bridge from Heuston station to the Ashling Hotel. The DART train also passes right by the hotel and is actually very quiet. The Temple Bar area (touristy but fun) is a good 30+ minute walk, but easy to find and worth a visit. The hotel staff we encountered upon check in, check out and in the bar/lounge and restaurant were very professional, welcoming and friendly! The food we had there was delicious! Goat cheese chickpea burger was so good! Breakfast was also reasonably priced with a continental or full Irish menu that were both plentiful and delicious! Would definitely stay here again and book another King Supreme room. It was lovely!

Not good.
We had probably the worst room in the hotel. Room 424. I can only assume this is the case as the photos online bear no resemblance to the room we were given. Awkward layout , filthy carpet as well as stained chairs. I asked for another room but the rude clerk informed me they were booked solid and that she could not help me as I booked through a third party. Why allow your property to be booked through if you view the guests as inferior if that’s how they have chosen to book? In addition, the hallways have very little sound proofing. At 2:00am, a very loud and drunk group were wandering our hallway shouting and singling loudly. Then, around 5:00am, people were arriving (to work there?) through the back entrance which is where our window overlooked.

Our Dublin stay
The Hotel Ashling is listed as a four star hotel. In my opinion it is barely three stars. The rooms are small , our carpet was stained, as was the bathtub. The room was tired . Couches in lounge had stains. I have always been happy with your recommendations. This one missed big time. I will say that the staff tried to help and the restaurant breakfast is very nice. The lobby is bright and not very inviting.
