My friend and I were greeted with friendly face opening our door. The check in process was quick and very informative. We had breakfast the next day and the service and food was extremely good.

2 Star place
Dreadful! Walls like tissue paper. They let a group of 5 teenagers stay in the room next door to us. They were so loud all night. You’ll sleep terrible at this hotel. We book 4 nights and left a night early. Also, they keep their single outdoor hot tub at 99 degrees. It’s 30 degrees at night here in early Spring so you’ll just be miserably cold if you dare use the tub. The food isn’t good either. It’s made out to have five nice places to eat on site but only one was ever open & rarely were all the ingredients in stock. Avoid this hotel if you’re looking for a relaxing, nice vacation

Looking forward to the next stay!
Tamaya is a beautiful resort, in a very scenic location. There is self parking and valet. We self parked, for the walk. The valets seemed friendly as we walked past. Held door open for us. The aroma of sage welcomes guests in. The lobby is very lovely. The wall of windows looking out onto the Sandia mountains is just what you want to see, the fireplace was going this time, and people were milling about enjoying the cozy feel. Check-in was easy, and accompanied by a margarita. I liked it, husband didn't. Yay, more for me. Because we were doing a free night we went with the best room covered by amount, so we got a mountain view room with a little balcony. It was a full moon night, so I spent a lot of time on the balcony trying to get a decent picture. We went to Tamaya specifically to enjoy the amazing hot tub under the moon and stars. It's so dark out there you can see them all quite well. Very enjoyable way to spend some time! My only "complaint" with Tamaya is the cost of food and drink. We tend to take our own dinner and, depending on the weather, eat on the balcony or eat at the table in the room. But, I have had the food and drink at the resort, when there on business, and it is well worth the price. Every bite was delicious. Before we left for home we took a leisurely walk through the bosque, down to the Rio Grande. Very peaceful. There were exercise stations along the trail that would be fun in warmer weather. Looking forward to the next time!

Great for kids — even in off season!
We went to the Hyatt on a bit of a whim for NYE and a day before and a day after. We had a blast. We had another family with us and the kids were 3, 10, two 11 year olds and a 13 year old. It was so awesome with Kids. We were able to book the kids party for the 3 year old on NYE which meant the older kids were able to do their own thing in the room and the adults were able to go to the lounge where there was a band and was exclusive for hotel guests. What an awesome experience!!! I could not say more about how great our stay was and we were I. Off Season and didn’t get to take advantage of all the hotel has to offer. Call ahead if you have special requests. The customer service is great!!!!
