This is a 4-star property although a boutique hotel there are certain expectations of this class. The materials used in construction and the general appearance of the room and furnishings were cheap and in slight disrepair. Towels were of cheap quality and we used ones that had holes in them. Luckily it was only for one night.
Very good, very clean, good service. Thank you very much!
The hotel far exceeded our expectations. It is located in a building with a sports bar and an upscale dining restaurant. The included breakfast is just wonderful. They provide a wide array of food from various sausages and bacon to oatmeal and fruit. This is easily a 15 Euro breakfast anywhere else. Also on premise is a private sauna, for a very great price you get one hour. I only have two minor gripes with the hotel. 1. The bed consisted of two twins pushed together (though this is pretty standard in most hotels in the area) and 2. The shower is really high off the ground. I'm 6'2" and it was still a very big step for me to get in and out.
When we arrived (November 8th) we needed to purchase train tickets to Helsinki for the next day. We could not get it done but the lady working that day was extremely helpful - even she had a bit of difficulty - she did everything to make us feel great. She is a wonderful tribute to the Hotel. Actually everyone was very kind and helpful - they even offered to pack breakfast for us since our train left at 6:03 am! Carl Peterson
The location was excellent, parking was easy! Room was clean and comfortable! The breakfast was fantastic! Loved it and would definitely recommend it!!
I went to Rovaniemi to visit the Arctic Circle, Santa's village and see the midnight sun. The bus stop to get Circle and to the airport was about a 5 minute walk. Rovaniemi itself is a very walkable place. The hotel was comfortable and quiet. The room itself felt bigger than it was since one wall was a mirror. The included breakfast had a variety of choices. I would not hesitate to stay there again.
I like the restaurant in the hotel, the breakfast, the room and the shower
Convenient, pleasant staff, felt safe. Recommended stay
Nice that they have free parking. Breakfast was pretty good. Room itself was fine, bed comfortable. Bathroom was not big and tub required giant step up to get in. The wall from bath to bedroom was glass. It was frosted at the bottom but you had a very clear view from shower to bed. So not best option if you are traveling with friend or just like privacy. The biggest issue though was that the room was HOT. One day was about 60 degrees and the next was 40 (this was in June). But room was in the high 70s with no way to cool it down. No air conditioner. Windows don’t open except for a small side panel that has a shutter over it. It doesn’t provide any ventilation, and if it’s open, it lets in the street noise and midnight sun. If not for the temperature problem, would rate 4 instead of 3.
Location great. Very outdated decor in rooms. and a sewage smell in bathroom.
