First off I normally don't complain this much but you should know what to expect.
Horrible bed that was sunk in the center so bad you couldn't lay on either side of the bed without rolling to the middle. Nasty old full size fridge in the room. Coffee maker didn't work. Cigarette burns all over the tub, bed sheets and the curtains. Didn't smell clean. Walked around in the room with just my socks on feet, my socks ended up black/brown on the bottom. Unaware of the deposit when i booked the room.
I Booked through Hotels.com for 2 nights. Chose the pay at property option. Informed front desk i would be paying cash not to run my card. Said they wouldn't. Then Informed me there was a $100.00 cash deposit since i was paying cash. Told me it was because of the no smoking policy at the hotel. Ok i get it. Went to the room and found cigarette burns everywhere. Took pictures and went back to the office to show front desk. Told him i couldn't afford to lose the deposit over something i didn't do. He made notes. Told me to pay for my room at the end of my stay. Then the next day they charged my card 2 separate charges of $93.25..one per night...told me they wouldn't charge my card and was aware i was paying cash but did anyways. If my account would have been low it could have cost overdraft fees. I was able to get my deposit back. The lady had to go check my room before I could get it back..had to explain and show her the pictures. Both front desk people were nice.
