Everything you needed in a hotel or nothing you don’t. It was very clean and quiet. Coffee was great at breakfast. I would definitely stay here again.

The staff was awesome. I loved them and they were helpful. The room was hot and humid, no matter how low we turned the temperature. Thankfully the staff provided a portable fan. For next time, make sure they fixed the AC in the room. Room had a roach inside and I killed it before it could go anywhere else. The shops nearby were conveienint and easy to get to. Mellow Mushrooms is a good place to get pizza if you spend all day at Kings Island and just want to relax in your room.

Very clean property. Room looked brand new. The only reason I did not rate excellent was the shower water pressure was horrible.

This was a breath of fresh air for a stay at an IHG hotel. The Avid was clean and well appointed for our stay. The price was much below other hotels offering nearly the same amenities. The manager Clinton made a point to ask if we were having a good stay and if there was anything they could improve, he even listened to our comments about the IHG website and other IHG locations we had stayed at. Clinton is an asset to the hotel and would do well as an IHG executive truly motivated to improve the brand.

The breakfast was simple, but filling. There were nice options of hot food (eggs, bacon or sausage alternating days) and oatmeal. Cold food included bagels, bread, fruit, yogurt, cereal, and a variety of toppings. The staff was always friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Two front desk clerks were especially helpful. One was Zak. I don't recall the person's name.

For a more affordable option, this is a great choice, very clean and a little minimalist. You have a mini fridge in the room but you do need to use the microwave in the lobby breakfast area. Other than that it’s awesome! Great breakfast too!

The front desk was always staffed with pleasant and helpful people. Nice short chatty greetings. Housekeeping was worthy of a nice tip. Good attention to detail. The lobby "convenience store" was overpriced, but not more than other hotels, really.
