Not worth the money
The service was awful, the staff is very rude, we paid for an upgraded room, they did not provide the room we paid for. Nothing was explained to us in regards to the neighborhood or the hotel services/amenities. I've asked about information to get in wifi the front desk staff would not provide the access code, I had to call the service desk to finally get it. We requested a cab to the airport the night before, the next morning we found out they never call one. Overall not happy with them for the amount of money we paid to stay there, first time I've left a bad review for a hotel.

The Westin-Rome is over rated! It has not been kept up, needs paint touch ups everywhere. The toliet in our room did not work. We were greeted with an attitude when we requested a room change. The "spa" is below standard. It has one treatment room which is next to a very noisey poor excuse for a pool. The Westin has enough real estate to find a suitable place for a real spa experience which is falsely advertised. The amazing buffet breakfast is NOT worth the overpriced stay. Go some where else.

Great hotel, great location, bad service
I am an SPG memeber, and I have to say I am not content. The room size & views are good but there is a whole bunch of other things not good: For instance the hotel rates are absurd. 55 euros for a one-night parking is a steal. The rooms require touch up since they are old fashioned (in a good way), but new carpets, new electronics and etc.. wouldn't hurt. It's a SHAME that the hotel doesn't provide a coffee maker or tea pot because they want you to only order from the room service. The Concierge is totally unhelpful. They do not know Rome from the inside out. As a third timer to Rome, It was disappointing that they couldn't tell me about anything new going on in the city or special events. Not knowing any markets for visit to recommend except Campo di Fiori (which is really not that big of an attraction) is quite a shame. That goes also regarding to restaurant reservations.
