Great place in Savannah
Really great location, delightful spot with really nice staff. Good shower, nice sized rooms, beds are a bit soft and they have complimentary breakfast and evening wine and cheese. Would stay again and I recommend!

Reynolds square delight....
Fabulous location, charming old Inn, (mostly charming), slow elevators, windows painted shut in our room, windows fogged over in the morning, .....single pane glass. 1930s insulation.....The nightly complimentary wine and cheese in the lobby was a nice touch.....everyone in the Inn was nice & helpful.

Wonderful place to stay in fantastic location!
Planters Inn couldn’t be in a better location! While the property is old and the rooms show their age, it overall is a great place to stay with the friendliest staff, and you can’t beat free happy hour with wine and cheese! One note, at the time of stay (3/7-3/10/19), the Pink Lady next door which houses Planters Tavern, is being renovated due to a recent fire so the bar and room service listed on the hotel website is currently not available.

Absolutely Horrible !
This is the result when a property relies on it's historic status and ignores providing customer service. #1. The arrival: Upon arriving at midnight, there was no front desk attendant for nearly half an hour ! Another guest had already been waiting when I arrived & was calling the hotels phone number as it rang in-front of us with nobody to answer. Finally a very non apologetic young man stumbled from a back door & checked us both in. #2. The room: I could deal with the tiny room but what I can't deal with was the lack of maintenance and general upkeep. The bedposts on one bed where broken, tilted & unsuccessfully glued in a feeble attempt to repair. I then went to close the shades for the night & the paint was peeling off ! #3.The breakfast: I understand the concept of trying to provide variety but when your quantity makes the quality suffer, you've failed. They had both muffins & biscuits that where obviously from the day before...stale, just nasty ! Left and purchased breakfast elsewhere.and finally, #4. When I went to check out, I requested a receipt and a very pompous young lady who answered, "We don't provide a receipt it you booked through a third party." Really ? Even though my money ended up in your pocket ? It's how she said it ! Conclusion ? If you don't care about customer service nor the quality of your room & breakfast, this is the property for you but if you work hard for your money & expect a standard level of quality & customer service, avoid this property.
