Perfect WAY "off-strip" locale
Staying here was the best decision! The Cafe and 24 hour Snaps restaurant had excellent food and pricing! The casino is a bit small, but offered a good variety of games as far as we are concerned. When I booked at Hotels.com, I mentioned this was an anniversary stay. When we arrived we found out we received a complimentary suite upgrade! The room was super spacious, clean and cutely decorated! I immediately noticed the "towel art" that was included in the bedroom and bathroom. They had twisted and shaped a few towels to make a heart with a base and placed it on the bed for us! Other towels were shaped as seashells and swans. I had never seen anything like that before and these little touches made everything feel so much more special! The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was comforting for me and my wife to be accepted and welcomed by everyone we encountered! Make no mistake, this hotel is a 23 minute drive from the Las Vegas strip so it is quite removed from all the hustle and bustle. It also tends to have an older and "less attractive" by society's standards, type of clientele. I only mention this so that pretty, young people don't book here and then go online to bash the hotel for not living up to their expectations. If you, like us, are looking for a fun, hassle-free, off-strip experience...this hotel may be as perfect for you as it was for us!!

Poor 2.0
The check in was horrible they said that the price we were given on Expedia was wrong for one of the rooms. When we got in the room not only did they charge us more for one of the two rooms it was not the mini suite with soaker tub we were supposed to have. They charged both credit cards for the rooms then made a total of 10 charges and refunds on our one card. When I called to ask them to fix it the next day I talked to Arie who was very nice but said her manager could not do anything. The manager Heidi then told me very rudely she didn’t know why I didn’t understand but obviously I don’t know how credit cards work. Not only do I travel a lot and stay in hotels at least once a month I have worked for a bank for 20 plus years I know how credit card charges work. And have Never had a hotel charge my card and make refunds over 8 times and it is still not what we should have been charged. I go to Vegas at least twice a year and have always stayed on the strip or at the Hard Rock.... never again will I stray from the strip!!!

Good 6.0
Room was big, staff was super nice and helpful, price was right. Probably would NOT stay again. Here's why: Casino was a little boring. Waitresses don't come around enough. 4 people registered to stay in room with only 2 towels provided. Service at Snaps was soooo slow. We went twice; slow both times. Both times for breakfast. 1st time-awesome food, tasted GREAT! 2nd time-food was horrible and cooked wrong (3 out of 4 of us had issues). When we mentioned it to the manager she brought a new order of hash browns for one of us and they still tasted horrible. No one seemed to care and nothing was done to correct our situation. The reason for our trip to Vegas was our son's 21st birthday. He got his license renewed before we left. In IL they issue a temporary card and give you your old one back. Both are legitimate forms of ID and were accepted at the airport and at the casino (as well as other casinos on the strip). They issued him a C.A.N. club card and we gambled and drank at the casino on site. 2 1/2 days into our trip, he was carded while he was gambling and drinking (with a drink in hand). One waitress didn't accept his forms of ID and we had them send over security. After more explanations from both sides, we were told they never should have issued him a club card or serve him drinks ever and he would not be able to gamble or drink at the Eastside Cannery. WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT!! Their loss. We took our money elsewhere and had no issues.

Top notch food, service but needs a little TLC...
Upon drive-up to check in to the hotel, I parked near the doors, and a valet clerk asked me for my keys. I said "No thanks! I'm just checking into the hotel." The valet clerk rudely informed me that I had to move my truck or he would have it towed, without explaining to me that the area was for valet service only, and that one must park in general parking before checking in to the hotel. Even when I pulled up in front of the hotel to pick up other guests (friends) that were also staying at the hotel, the clerks were abrasive and rushing you out of the area before your guests could walk outside from the casino or restaurants. Service staff at front desk was awesome. Housekeeping didn't clean the room one day as they had sold out the night before and was overwhelmed in servicing other rooms... yet they still want to charge me that resort fee for the day... Hmmmmmmmm. The casino carpeting is in need of cleaning; stains everywhere. The elevators all use card readers that do not function well. The air ducts into the shower/bathroom... dust accumulates behind the vent cover and has not been cleaned for sometime. But otherwise, a great place to eat, gamble, stay, relax.

WONDERFUL OFF THE STRIP STAY
We were pleasantly surprised with our first experience at this clean, quiet hotel/casino. Its off the strip, but well worth the trip if you are driving, or have a rental car. It's a gem. Older crowd, but we loved it, as we felt like youngsters being in our mid-50's. LOL. The casino, buffet, restaurants, and our hotel room were immaculate. t The room was huge, with none of the smoke odor you encounter at other casinos. Small fridge provided, no microwave in the room. The hotel staff, save one woman at the front desk clerk who twice wouldn't give us the time of day, were wonderful. Easy check in and out. Special shout out to Shonda at Snaps restaurant. Her smile and warm demeanor made our day. Small well stocked gift shop in house, or there are a Wal-Mart with grocery and pharmacy and plenty of places to eat within a 1/4 to 1/2 mile, giving you several dining options. We enjoyed free live band in Marilyn's lounge and listened to music for the cost of a mixed drink and a soda ($6.00 total). Bring lotion if you have dry skin,( I don't normally, but the desert climate did a number on my skin) as none provided in room. Neighborhood is a little sketchy, but security seen frequently patrolling the grounds, we felt absolutely safe. Nice casino, with plenty of games, I ( almost) didn't mind losing money to the one armed bandits. ;) No attractions here for the little ones, so I wouldn't recommend for families. Even so, So nice! We're looking forward to our next stay.
