Room was small. Not much room snacks or food in room. Great beach access.

Great resort style hotel. The beach front was a real treat and the happy hour menu was delicious. I will definitely go back!

Great value resort on Maui!
We loved staying here! We stayed in one of the hotel style rooms, which are fairly small, however, as we were really only in the room to sleep, that didn't really matter. The room was super clean and efficiently laid out. We really liked having a mini fridge. This place is a great value -- pool, beach access, gym -- it has it all! The beach access is automatically worth it, as the neighboring resort didn't have a beach. Also, super close to Wailea without having to pay those prices! We will certainly be back!

Highly recommend!
My wife and I stayed at the Mana Kai for her 30th Birthday. We weren't sure what to expect as we had booked last minute, but were very happy with our stay. The condo was very similar to a traditional hotel with a front desk, housekeeping, restaurant, convenience store, concierge for excursions, and a beach rental shop. The lobby was completely open air with a nice breeze coming off the beach which was approximately 20 steps away. Parking was free and there was also no resort fees. Kihei is less touristy than Lahaina, Kaanapali, and Wailea which we enjoyed. The beach outside the hotel is very nice, and you can snorkel directly in front (we saw 4 green sea turtles, lots of fish, and a ray). Our only negative was we ate lunch at the resort on our first day before check-in, and thought the food was not very good and overpriced. There are lots of better restaurants at more affordable prices within a short drive.

The second room we got was move but our first room before switching was just okay. My wife and I came to Maui to explore and it was a good room to sleep in at night and celebrate our anniversary. The room was a little small for 2 people but we made due.

Good overall.
Overall a good experience, the room we stayed was literally just a room. Bed and restroom so a little smaller than I expected but it was still nice for the 4 days spent there.

The hotel was just fine. We were in the smaller style room (the "B" rooms), so fairly cramped, but the rooms were clean and well-maintained (as was the hotel property). We arrived too late our first night, after the front desk was closed, but they had a nice phone call-based system that allowed us to access a lock box to get a working room key. The 5 palms restaurant on site was gorgeous, and our favorite place to eat breakfast every morning (right on the water). The one downside to watch out for - Zack's general store, which advertises that they are open until 9pm is not always open until 9pm. One day we arrived back late after road tripping around West Maui, and wanted to grab a few snacks from the general store and head right to bed. When we headed down at 8pm, we saw they had locked up for the night. Disappointing, but minor. The other not so great part was the construction & maintenance happening throughout the hotel during the day. One morning, around 10am, we had construction and maintenance workers working on the room right next to ours (very loudly) for a while. Takes away from the "relaxing" vibe a bit to hear the sounds of saws, dills, hammers, and who knows what else. Good value, but not my favorite hotel stay ever. I'd go back to the restaurant in a heartbeat though.
