Amazing stay, will use this hotel again
A fantastic location for access to Glasgow or Edinburgh assuming you don’t mind driving. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the rooms clean and comfortable, the pool was warm. The only issue we had was a later than expected checkin as the room was not ready, however we could still use the leisure facilities which helped entertain the kids while we waited.

Good place but shy staff
The location is great and my room was ok too, once I was moved to a better room where the TV worked. I felt there was a lack of management oversight at this hotel. The staff though pleasant, appeared a bit listless to me. I felt I had to ask the right questions to receive basic information rather than they being proactive in offering the info in the first place. I found if I met a member of staff in a corridor they put their heads down and said nothing. It could be shyness or a lack of training I suppose. I don't believe I'm intimidating or particularly grotesque. I didn't eat breakfast here as it wasn't offered and then when I did ask about it, the receptionist didn't know how much extra it cost. I just nipped down the road to Sainsburys and got myself some provisions for the following morning.

Lovely break
We had a lovely break at the hotel. Beautiful hotel and surroundings. We enjoyed the spa facilities and restaurant. Our dinner was lovely but we were disappointed with the range of gluten free food available to our son aged 8.
