Almost perfect...
Everything was great! Well... except the sorta inconvenient parking and the brown water in the tub. Other than that, the staff and service were fantastic! Comfy beds. The location was super convenient, and our view was terrific.

Mid range hotel in Cork
4 nights in Cork as part of our 2 week Ireland vacation. Hotel was fine...a few things annoying. Secondary elevator did.t work last couple of days. Road work right in front of hotel began at promptly 8am. The bar did not have any food for purchase.. The

Great hotel and excellent customer service
We had the most enjoyable stay! We received the highest level of customer service from staff. The concierge, Mr. John Coleman, went above and beyond to assist us with mapping out activities along with instructions, securing our taxi, ordering coach tickets and printing them out for us, storing our luggage and attending to our every need. The hotel rooms were modernized and clean and the beds were comfortable. Great entertainment and bar. Located centrally, we were close to shopping and restaurants. I will definitely visit again and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Dazzled to Mediocrity
While the look and presentation of this hotel is phenomenal, we just weren't very impressed. The staff at both reception and the breakfast nook were slightly rude and not very willing to be helpful at all (though Lorraine was lovely and doing her best). Our room was hot, our window difficult to open, and we were very disappointed to find that construction was under way from early morning to the evening. A heads up on that would have been appreciated. That being said, the beds were comfortable and our college-aged daughter travelling with us was kind enough to point out that "this was way better than anything I could afford."

Good hotel & good location
Good location 5 minutes walk to center (street noise busy as a result so ask for back room). Room smallish but had adequate facilities (towels, iron, toiletries & kettle etc). Would have liked if they offered green or herbal tea rather than just black breakfast tea. Hotel old but obviously had been renovated in recent years as modern colours and revamped rooms. Free apples & water canisters on every floor. Nice bathroom, but shower knob very stiff to turn on and yellow toilet water. Breakfast not included in room rate so cannot comment but lots of cafes nearby hotel to walk to. No visable recycling bins in rooms or hotel (I’d expect this in 2019 given most people recycle at home so would like to do so when traveling). Car park (€7.50 if you pay in hotel beforehand) 3 minutes walk to hotel. Overall good but could do with some maintenance & little improvements (like being more green & offering modern teas!) to make it fulfill its 4* rating. And some more personal touch.
