Very Good8.0
San Marco Palace - All Suite, hard to find.
The hotel was nice, friendly and clean and the breakfast had fairly good choices to eat. For me the juices tasted kind of bitter and the omelet was slightly bland. The biggest thing that I may had trouble with was finding the hotel in the first place which was tricky to begin with. Once I arrived at St. Mark's Square I asked several people who were shop owners or workers in the area and I kept getting the wrong direction until the fourth person that I asked gave me the right info. There is a short pathway between some shops in St. Mark's Square that is easy to go unnoticed and that leads to a small bridge that you need to cross. Once crossing the bridge it was easy to find but it said San Marco Palace instead of San Marco Palace - All Suite. It must have taken me over a half an hour walking around in the same area with my luggage to find this place. But the good part outweigh the negative so that is why I am giving it 4 stars..

Good place bad keys
My only complaint was the keys. Was given 4 keys that were very difficult to use and did not get proper instructions on what key was for what.

Not the best stay
It was a bit hard to find, the elevator wasn’t working, the walls seemed so thin that you could hear everything and the staff at the front desk never smiled.

San Marco Palace - All Suites, Venice
Beautiful facility and great location but ...
We had two suites for a family of 4, for 3 nights. One of them had no hot water the first night. I was offered a new room or we could have it fixed. I chose to stay in the room. A mistake. We were promised it would be addressed at 7 AM the next day. At 7 AM we called and were told the technician comes in at 8:30 and would take care of it right away. At 8:30 he had not come yet. Those in the one suite had to go down a flight to the other suite to shower. If we didn't have a second room, we would have had a big problem, throwing off our schedule. We left and came back at 10:30 and the technician had not been there yet. He came before lunch and "fixed it" saying it was a "pressure problem". We checked and there was hot water. The next morning there was no hot water again - same suite. Again, those in the one suite had to go down a flight to shower. After breakfast I went to the front desk. I was offered a new room and they moved everything for us. The third morning there was no problem with the hot water. While they were very polite and in the end they did accommodate us by moving us, there was no offer to reduce our bill. Given what we were paying, this was an unacceptable series of events and a price reduction was expected. There is an expectation that by paying a certain price, you don't have to walk around the hotel in the morning to get to a shower, outside of your room. I would not return to this hotel.
