Convenient location, but abysmal service
Quite disappointing really, and inconsistent first and foremost. We were first put in a suite as reserved, only to realize that the room was in a remote building, with access to the main hotel through the underground garage. The room was also very poorly laid out and with a direct view to another building less than 10 metres away. We elected to downgrade to a regular room rather than stay in this suite. Quite surprising that the hotel could not provide an alternate suite given that the entire facility appeared to be less than 10% full. The low attendance was such that service was abysmal, with plates and glasses from room service accumulating for hours in the corridor, to the disdain of the maids until I highlighted the issue at reception, breakfast service got worse and worse every day due to the low attendance, and the main fireplace in the lobby was only lit very occasionally due once again I assume to poor attendance. Quite a shame as this is really the centrepiece of the lobby. Finally, the pool and health area were never manned and finding towels could be quite the ordeal.

Convenient to highway, stores, food and nightlife
Nice rooms, very quiet, indoor parking option. fireplace in room but requires wood to burn. Great for large groups. did not try dining options.

Nice quaint, clean hotel in great location.
We stayed in this hotel for 3 days in August, 2015. This was a nice small hotel. It's location is excellent - less than a 10 minute walk to the sites of the upper town of Quebec City (the Frontenac Hotel, the old fort, etc), but far enough away that you're in a quieter area. You can see the charming horse and carriages walking up the street and you have a lovely view from the windows. The hotel is also a 5-10 minute walk from a main street with lots of shops and restaurants. The hotel itself is small but quaint. It is in a nicely maintained building - its got some character because, as is everything in the old city, the building is old. There is no reception (or restaurant) inside the hotel - you must go immediately next door (steps away) to the adjacent hotel to check in and out. The staff at that hotel were very friendly and efficient. Our room on the second floor was very clean. (I don't believe there was an elevator in the building.) There is a small lobby with a sitting area, and a kitchen-type area with a coffee machine and soda machine. There is also a small outside garden/sitting area in the back of the building. If you have a car, there is a public garage less than a 10 minute walk from the hotel - I believe it cost $20 per night. We left our car at the garage the entire 3 days we were in Quebec City because there is really no need for a car - the city is very accessible on foot. We had a lovely stay.
